Hi all! I created a song using acid loops and raised the tempo from 120 to 127 bpm and changed the key from A to G#. I then recorded and beatmapped the vocals. The burned cd and rendered wav file both play slow and lowered in pitch. The song plays fine from the program. I'd REALLY appreciate any ideas on how to get the song out of Acid 4 with the correct speed and key. |

Odd. What sample rate are you using for rendering? (It should be 44.1 kHz for CD burning.) Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Pre-order Instant ACID mD at ACIDplanet Guitars 4 Kids |

Hi Iacobus. Thanks for taking the time to post. I double checked and it's wav, 44.1khz,16 bit stereo pcm. This is the first time i've tried to burn or render a song that I've changed the tempo and key on, so I'm kind of swimming in untried waters. I don't have an earlier success as a reference. There are no tempo or key changes in the timeline. Hippie |

Could your soundcard's sample rate settings for playback be set differently? (Admittedly, you'd notice this in ACID as well if that was the case.) You might want to try completely uninstalling and reinstalling ACID as well. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Pre-order Instant ACID mD at ACIDplanet Guitars 4 Kids |

Thanks for the sugesstion but I really hate to reinstall when I'm in the middle of a song. I have , of course, backed the song up but I have a healthy paranoia about that big a change. I have Acid Pro 5 to change to when I finish the current song. I changed the key and tempo back to the original values, saved the song, then changed them back to where I want them and the render worked once... Hippie |

Something might have gone kablooey in the ACID installation. You could try repairing rather than uninstalling/reinstalling if you're nervous about it. However, if that doesn't work either, definitely don't rule out uninstalling/reinstalling; some users have had similar problems in the past and were able to cure it by uninstalling and then reinstalling ACID. I tried repairing and it seems to have worked! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays stable until I get the song finished. Thanks! Hippie |
