Hello, I use Vegas for some years, but this is the first time I use the Surround in a my project. I've set the audio track with Surround settings and when I listen the result all is ok: the audio is in Surround mode and I can listen it perfectly by my 4 speakers. But when I render my project to obtain the audio as a file .AC3, Vegas makes it, but when I listen the AC3 file (for example importing it in DVD Architect or in any program that supports the AC3 format), the file plays as stereo and not in surround (pratically, the audio exits from only the 2 stereo speakers). Why? Thanx, Steven |

DVDA doesn't know how to playback 5.1, only stereo. Don't worry, when you burn your DVD you'll have 5.1 audio. |

Thanx, but I've resolved the problem in this last minutes... Before to install Vegas and DVD Architect, some days ago I installed the AC3 Filter becouse I had to watch some DivXs with the audio in Surround mode. Well, it seems that the AC3 Filter goes in conflict with the Sony AC3 codec. Infact, after removed the AC3 Filter, my ac3 files play perfectly. |

BOSE uses really lousy dvd players -- many of them have problems playing any burned disks , you should be lucky that it plays at all ... did you set your project properties to 5.1 project ? and have 6 mono files on the time line ? And pan each track to its respective channel ? And select one to be LFE ? And render to 5.1 AC3 ? |
