THIS IS MY PROBLEM...WHEN IM TRYIN TO RECORD WITH THE OPTION PLAY WHILE RECORDING ON IT RECORDS THE BEAT WITH MY VOCALS BUT ITS NOT COMMING FROM THE SPEAKERS OR EAR PHONES IT JUST AUTO RECORDS THROUGH THE SYSTEM I DONT KNO HOW IT HAPPENS BUT THATS WATS GOIN ON IF U CAN HELP ME PLZ POST IT HERE OR SEND ME AN EMAIL 2 MIKEWHYTE@DODGEIT.COM THANK YOU

This is a very common problem for new users. Check the link Support --> Knowledge Base for this article #560:

When I record a new track, the rest of my project is also being recorded.

BTW, posting in ALL CAPS is considered SHOUTING and is not necessary. Unless of course you are using an Apple ][+ computer which only had an upper case character set.

The probelm may be your sound card. i had a consumer sound card and it did the same thing when i recorded via the mic-input...but when I recorded via the line input all that was recorded was voice. If your sound card has a software mixer try messing with the settings on that. (find it in start/settings /control panel/sounds and Multimedia.good luck.
