Hello, Well I tried but every time I close Fruity it resets all the mixer settings in Fruity, and one time I closed it, it closed Acid too. Have you tried LoopTalk Forum? They know the most about Fruity. But the way I did it was assign a output to each mixer channel, the in each channel properties window in Fruity at the top right there is a window to assign each channel to a mixer track. But it doesn't work. I'm really not waving any luck with rewire and Acid with any program I've tried. I use the Fruity VSTi instead, Works better for me. See ya, Rockitglider |

actually, i did discover today that the busses come up by default if you choose 'Multiple Outputs' in the box that appears when you select 'Channels > Add One >Rewired'... You assign them as you normally would in the Acid project, but it's a little annoying as you do not seem to have any control over the channel placement in FLStudio,... Also, it seems that Acid does not save my busses and defaults to a stereo output only when re-opening the project. Another shocking oversight I feel... SO disheartening.... Ho-hum, I think I may not use FLStudio much longer in this context... Too much pain and fatigue! :( |

Hello Peter, Now I tried to rewire Fruity the way this poster said, and I get a crash to desktop of both Fruity and Acid when trying to switch between the two aps. I'm not getting any errors exept when restarting Acid it says Acid terminiated unexpectedly. I can give you more info if there is a log file somewhere that you know of that I can post. Please help me with this rewire problem I'm having cause I can't seem to get things to work well in rewire. Thanks Peter. Rockitglider |

Hello, OK first, start Acid 5P, select FL Studio 5 as a rewire, in FL Studio add a channel rewire, switch back to Acid and both programs crash to desktop. That's it. Rockitglider |

Peter, As you recall I was having and still am having problems with rewire Acid 5to Sonar 4 Producer as well. Is there a way to reinstall all rewire dll's as maybe they may be corrupt? I don't know if this is possible, just trying to suggest something. I'm really unable to get anything to work with rewire. I have Reason Adapted a partial version from M-Audio's sound card I bought, Acid 5P, FL Studio 5, Sonar 4.01 Producer, Acid 3P, Acid 4P, FL Studio 4, Sonar 3 Studio, Traction, Reason 2.5 Demo. These are the rewire programs installed on my system. Please let me know what I can do without reinstalling everything. Thanks again. Rockitglider |

It seems from the brief look I have had that each program installs its own version of the Rewire driver. I tried deleting one form FLStudio the other day and it was a bad mistake. I ended up having to re-install ,,, I am not sure of the relationships between the different drivers. As far as Sonar 4 is concerned, i have read recently that their Rewire drivers are the best and are apparently endorsed by Pinnacle themselves as such. Recent experience has born this out to be true, IMHO If you are having trouble with all these programs, I would say it is an issue related to your sound drivers. Can you tell us what your set-up is? |

Hello Marll, I'm runnin a PIV W/ 512 RDRAM Win XP Home, Delta Dio 2496, and a Delta 1010LT, I think it might be drivers too, I think I'll try rolling back one version and see what happens. Thanks Rockitglider |

"OK first, start Acid 5P, select FL Studio 5 as a rewire, in FL Studio add a channel rewire, switch back to Acid and both programs crash to desktop" Rocketglider, What you've described here is a looped rewire setup which is likely to result in a crash. Rewire is a one way link, as in host & client. You should first open the app you want to be the host, configure it to accept a cleint, then open the client. You have gone one step further and configured your client (FL) to accept the host (ACID) as a client, hence the crash. |

Hello, OK, but even if I don't add the rewire channel in FL Studio I get no audio output from either program in rewire. Rockitglider |

From the FLStudio forums: Elke deBie (FL Studio Support) wrote : We've confirmed there's a problem with the plugin version of FL Studio 5 (that means ReWire, VSTi and DXi.) We're working on a fix and will post that fix on the Web site when it's ready. Looks like something is up with FLStudio and its ReWire/VSTi/DXi support. I have made inquires to the FL developers. I have been able to reproduce this. From my findings the FLStudio ReWire dll is crashing big time. There is no doubt that your problems are related to FLStudio's ReWire support (as a device). Have you contacted The FLStudio techsupport? I looked through their forums and did not see a post from a "Rockitglider". Did you post to the FLStudio users forum? Using ACID as a device in FLStudio has not caused me any problems at all. Peter |

Hello, No I didn't contact FL Studio's forum, Because I have the problem with all rewire, Sonar, FL Studio, and Acid. I already told you in detail, there's no more detail than what I already told you. Just forget it, I don't want to mess with this any more. I will just wait to use Acid till when the first patch comes out, I really don't like using it anyway with it scanning the plug-ins everytime it starts. I have no output with rewire on any program, I can't get transport to start, I can't preview loops, Nothing. It just doesn't work. Thanks anyway. Rockitglider |

I guess I can't help then. The only thing I can add is that if we can't reproduce the problem, then there wont be anything in the update to address your issues. I can't fix what I can't see. If you would rather email me, please do so as I'd like to determine what is causing your problems. Your call. Peter |

I'm not aware of any problems with the FL Studio ReWire &VSTi. Even though ImageLine say there are problems, I've experienced none. I did have distorted audio coming from ACID's rewire client in FL, but since I reduced the priority setting in ACID's advanced audio options (rewire device driver) from time critical to normal, everything's been fine. |

as regards the FLstudio rewire issue, i have also suffered recurrent distortion when attempting to rewire Acid... I have now found that leaving it on 'Primary Driver' in the FLStudio settings makes all the difference. This of course has the downside of having much larger latencies to deal with... think i'll stick to Sonar for the present... |

marll, have you tried reducing the priority setting in ACID's advanced audio (rewire device driver) options from time critical to normal? This worked for me, and I'm using asio in FL. |
