I have the Z5300 (I think it's the 5300). It's very similar to the 680 (280 watts and no Lighted LCD remote.)
It's a nice setup with plenty of sound for a small room. I imagine the 680 would be sufficient for a small to medium room.
I'd highly recommend either for gaming or a small budget theater but not mixing (if that is your intended use.)
As far as the price is concerned, it's a steal!

I tried them, but as was said, they are not for mixing.

I have these speakers. The bass is a little strong for my taste, and the fidelity is rather low quality. That said, they are excellent general-purpose PC speakers, great for gaming, great price. If you're doing serious mixing, don't bother. But if you're on a budget and are looking for some powerful speakers that put all others in the same class to shame, these are a good buy.

Well guys it was a "OT". I wont be using them with computer for video production so dont worry about mixing, just for room and music. i want them because the bass they produce. Would they work with a dvd player? what would you recommend to take full advantage of them? Thanks a lot for your quick replys.

Will work fine as a low-budget home theater system in a smaller room but you'll lose what little fidelity your satellites posess in anything larger than a very modest living room. These are certainly not high-end speakers but from my experience they offer a lot of sound for the money. Again, I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a great set of gaming speakers. As for your DVD player, don't expect a theater-like experience and you probably won't be disappointed.
