Earlier today I created an ACD file in 120BPM. I imported some other tracks that were also recorded at 120BPM. They were in the key of A.

Just now when I opened ACID again and cued up the ACD file, the whole layout was sped up, everything was now roughly in the key of B, yet the BPM was still set at 120. This has happened several times lately, but never happened when I used ACID 3.0. I'm a newbie so it's probably something obvious, but what causes this?

Also: sometimes when I create a new track, there is a dialog that says something about "peak data", and then freezes til I shut down the program. Is this common?

Thanks...

Hmm, I was thinking the sampling rates for the individual tracks were different--turns out they were. So I converted them all to be 44,100, but the song is still too fast. Any ideas?

Which version of ACID are you using?

Did you resample using something such as Sound Forge?

I used Soundforge, and I used R8Brain, but neither made a difference.

Hmm. Might want to try reducing or turning off video acceleration to see if that helps any. It might be related to your "peak data" problem too.

Try updating or trying out different soundcard drivers to see if that helps as well. Also try uninstalling and then reinstalling ACID.
