Subject:Sound Forge 5.0 - batch converter?

Could someone tell me what happened to the Batch Converter feature on Sound Forge 5.0?
I just switched from SF 4 to SF 5 and unable to locate this feature.

When SF 5.0 came out, Batch Converter became it's own application (not part of SF 5.0). Sony has since discontinued BC. I never had a problem with it, but may did. Apparently Sony didn't feel it was worth fixing, so it was dropped.

Thank you for your response. Batch Converter was one of the main features I used in
my studio. That is a disspointment. So, what do I use now?

When SF5 was released originally, Sonic Foundry gave a free copy of the BC standalone version to purchasers. It was not included on the CD (it was released about 3 months after SF5). It was download only, and because of this, it was not included on the SF5 CD (I just checked mine to be sure). Depending on how you obtained this, you may still be able to get it. Check with the people/persons who upgraded you.

You could probably install SF4.x in it's *own* directory, giving you back the ability to use BC. Outside of that, I can't be of any help. Sorry...
