Hey Guys!

I had a question I am trying to record using Acid Pro 4.0. I have never experienced this problem before. I have the computer microphone over my guitar amp and it is picking up levels fine. When I go to mix it on the time line with other clips like drums or whatever, it does not record just the guitar it records everything. So it kind of doubles the track over and over again. And it also makes a phasey sound. This becomes a pain because you can not just select one voice it is like it is mastering them all down. I read that the microphone could be picking up the monitors sound so I plugged in some headphones to see if that would fix the problem. And it still mixes all the tracks down. I don’t know what to do but, I would like to start recording music with acid. As far as gear, I am running a Dell Pentium 4, with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 Sound card. I am not technologically savvy at all I just want to record music if anyone could please help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Check the link Support --> Knowledge Base for this article #560:

When I record a new track, the rest of my project is also being recorded.
