Subject:Confused : Acid 5: differences between downloaded and boxed ?

Is there any difference between ordering boxed or downloaded versions of Acid5? I read everything but it's confusing as what you download/receive with shipping charges (I'm outside USA) and what's in the boxed version..?

If you check for having the loops and other content sent by regular mail (2 CDs) there's no difference. For customers like me outside the US downloading is a great way to avoid to pay excess customs/shipping fees.

from what i can tell is you get the content cd for free and 1 other i believe because it is a digital download and doesn't require any boxing or shipping

Yeah, that's the trick: if you download to avoid shipping costs, you still have to pay if you want these two cd's... mmm... that's what I tought.

Oh, and Sony charge UK users VAT on both downloads and shipped items, *($£^"*!!!

Nice. But I still don't get it: Sony is WorldWide, no? WHY the hell don't they have selling points in every major country in the world ? I'd understand if still was Sonic Foundry, but Sony... c'm'on !!! ¦ P
