yes - it is possable ..

we (on another forum) did a lot of work on this - to see if we could capture ac3 comming off a laser disk player about 2 years ago ....

he wants to capture ac3 .. not rip it i thought ..

it is what you have to do to get ac3 off a laser disk player or off film ..

for anything else (i.e. dvd) , you can just rip ...

I remember he uses some kind of Pinnacle mpeg capture card. So I guessed that what he was capturing needed the ac3 converted to he could edit in Vegas.

So I just posted in case that was the case.
