Subject:Adding to FX Chain stops Playback

Is this a setting or a new feature? When I was using Acid 4 I could create an effects chain on the fly. Now when I try to add an effect Acid 5 pauses the playback. Anyone else experienced this?

i thought it has always been this way?
the only time the playback is not interrupted is if you are creating an 'assignable effect'...
