My it guy installed 6.0 on my new rig, replacing my older 4.5

Couple things...Where can I download an mp3 encoding patch for 6.0?

Secondly and most importantly...HOW DO I TURN OFF THE DAMN SFK FILES?!!!??? In my line of work sfk's nearly double my work time. I don't need them and I don't want them and 4.5 didn't have them.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Sound Forge 6 has MP3 encoding included. You don't need to download anything else.

Sound Forge 4.5 also had .sfk files. If you don't want to deal with them then ignore them. You can have them created as hidden and then you won't even know they're there.

sfk files are the wave form of the file used for display purposes. They have always been part of Forge.

How does a sfk file double your work time?

You don't need to view the wave form of the files you are editing?
