Subject:How can I remove pops from many files?

Sorry about the Subject title, but what I really want to do is........ I have a bunch of percussive loops(kicks, snares, congas, etc) with hits on "one" of just about every loop. When I edit (crop)each loop down I end up having a "click" at the end of every loop(which is really the beginning of the next loop). Is there a way to "Batch Convert" or multi edit all of the endings to fade out or mute the "click". Right now I am going one at a time! Very tedious, but it's the only way I can think of. I am using SF5.0 and I have read the manual, but I don't see any mention of this dilemma. Thanks for any help! Luceses |

I suspect that your recordings have a DC offset. Remove the DC offset before you edit, and then try to edit at zero-crossings or fade the cut. |

Hey mpd, Thanks for the tip. I tried that and it didn't make a difference. I have created a work around, but it is only slightly faster.I have a few suggestions for the R&D team, so I guess I'll submit them now. Thanks again. |
