Can't load plug-ins -ACID Product Family - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

I've just started playing around with Acid 4.0, mixing my kids' singing with other songs. I tried the default FX but found most of them fail to load. The message is "The plug-in "amplitude modulation" failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed." Chorus, simple delay and pitch shift all work fine, btw. How do I know if they are properly installed? There's nothing in the manual and I haven't found other people having the same problem, at least not with the default FX. I created a C/programs/vst folder for other 3rd party plug-ins, but I'm not going to try to solve that problem until I can get the basic FX running correctly.
