hi. i downloaded acid 5 the other day. i am using it with battery 2 vst and it works fine. but acid creates, literally 32 tracks per instance of battery. and it only lets me add no more than two instances at a time. i know this is because battery has many output options. but is there any way to limit this? all i need is one bus per instance. please help. thanks, luma :^_^: |

I don’t have Battery but I do have Kontakt (another Native Instruments product) and Kontakt allows me to control how many outputs are seen by the host program. See if Battery has something like that in its preferences or options. ACID adds a bus for every output the VSTi exposes. It depends on the VST to hide outputs you don’t want to use. ~jr |

Same here with FL Studio... Sometimes I only need 6 outputs but I have to take 16.. |

Battery has the ability to set the number of output buses it exposes. However, NI has prevented only but a few hosts to control this change. It basically checks the host's name and only permits certain hosts to make such changes. The work around is to connect Batter in Cubase (or Nuendo) as these are the only hosts I have been able to connect Battery to and to change the number of ports. NI promised that the next release of Battery (Battery 2) would address this issue. We will get in touch with them to see what is up. Peter |

i have tried Battery 2 and it definitley DOES NOT address the issue. As the previous poster said, it now creates 32 channels. Unlike Battery 1 , there appears to be no way to control the number of outputs that appear, Shame that, as Battery is one of my fav. VSTs and I was over-joyed to read that they weren't discontinuing after all... There's always something with NI products... |

NI is aware of this problem. I would contact them if you are concerned. Peter |
