Subject:AP5 media manager error

media manager seems to load upon install except upon starting the program it says that it has failed to initialize and or my account does not have suffecient priveleges
any idea...and what is up with that .net framework ...AP4 is a champ i don't want to mess anything up
help?

Try creating a new user account on your PC and launch ACID from there. If it works, it is something about your existing account that won’t allow ACID 5 the privileges to write some data it needs. There are several people with this problem. Hopefully, Sony will figure out what it is so you can use you existing account.

well...i removed AP5 and my plug ins for AP4 will no longer associate...i have never had any prob with an acid install...what's up? and further more .net framework changed some stuff on my windows and can't seem to get it back

I first tried installing from a CD that a got (build 257) and media manager got hung during the install and wouldn't initialize. So I downloaded the latest build (265) from the website, unstalled, re-installed, and everything works fine now. Doesn't sound like quite the same problem but it may be related.

mine was the demo from their website
and it doesn't work
