Although I use Sound Forge 6E and am thoroughy satisfied with it, for the person who only needs to do occassional edits and simple audio work I'd highly recommend Nero, which in my opinion is the most flexible audio software available today. I have Nero 6 and it will burn just about any type of CD/DVD, plus they provide an audio editor and many other programs within Nero to help deliver an excellent finished product. in my opinon it blows programs like Roxio away. Also, Nero is constantly being improved with online updates available free of charge. Check it out, I think you'll be very satisfied................ http://www.nero.com/us/index.html: |

Hi, A really impressive freeware program is Audacity. If you are just needing to cut-up sound files and do light processing, this is pretty good program for the job....and it's free!!! Once you have your files the way you want, most any cd buring program will burn them to cd....easy cd creator, Nero, toast, etc.... I work in a School of Music/Conservatory and recommend it students and the time and they love it. Worth a look..... http://audacity.sorceforge.net |
