Sound Forge processes on the data you have selected in the Wave editor window. If you have nothing selected and goto effects>pitch>bend, then Sound Forge, assumes you're probably a new user and brings up all the data for you, so you don't come back to the sound forge user forum and complain that pitch bend is not working, since it's doing exactly what you told it too, by not selecting any data to process. So if you want to pitch bend only to effect a certain section of a sample, then you need to select that section in the wave editor window by right click holding and drag. Then once you have your selection, then goto EFFECTS>PITCH>BEND. |

Lol did you even read the post before you came up with that witty reply. i know how to use pitch blend. I was using that as an example. Now the question is...Can you use sound forge to sample a part of the song without the beat. |

By "part of the song", do you mean just the vocals or the piano, for example, without the rest of the mix? If so, then no, there is no good way to do this with any software. |

"Is there an easy way to do this. When I play with the pitch bender it effects only the part I want. I there away I can strip this part from the beat?" "Lol did you even read the post before you came up with that witty reply." Why yes I did. And my witty reply was not meant to be insulting to you. Just pointing out that Sound Forge sometimes does some thinking for you, because people have actually made that complaint in the past. If you reread the post, you will see that comment was not directed at you specifically. The problem is that maybe I didn't clearly understand your question, because your English writing skills don't seem to be past a 1st grade level. Try rereading your original post yourself. MOST people put question marks at the end of a sentence to identify that it is a question. MOST people don't write in fragmented sentences, so you can understand what they're saying. That's probably why I can answer MOST questions on this forum, while I'm having a hard time even understanding what you're asking. Go back to school, brush up on some English writing courses, and maybe you too can be "witty" and we all can start to talk the same language. And no dope dog wanksta, yooz can'tz be takin out's no beatz from da already mixed produchian....datz likes the first newby question allz them gay azz niggas be axin da first timez day be postin in da forum. |

Inappropriate? "Is there an easy way to do this. When I play with the pitch bender it effects only the part I want. I there away I can strip this part from the beat?" Maybe you can spend better time by translating that above post for everyone and there would have been no confusion in the first place, if not than my reply was appropriate, given the reply back after trying to assist him with the question. Or did you just decide to come in here and read the last post, and decided to ignore his comment? Just incase here it is for you. "Lol did you even read the post before you came up with that witty reply." It's amazing to me, how you can consider a situation where someone elses rudeness gets a rude reply in return, yet you feel it necessary to point out my post as "inappropriate". Read it again, and you will find it a very appropriate response, when someone insults you by saying "did you even read the post" and further misinterprets my response, when I was just trying to assist them, when their original post in itself is very hard to read, because it is not clearly written. Whatever....even having to explain the situation to someone else is a rediculous waste of time. But if you really want to understand the nature of some of my responses in forums, it's really quite simple. I go by the nature of the simple Latin term of "Lex Talionas". It's a quite popular term among law studying professionals, and religious groups. I recommend looking up the term, if you're not familiar with it. |

Your last sentence is inappropriate. It has nothing to do with the technical subject under discussion. Happy Thanksgiving... |
