Windows 98, no can do for upgrade? -ACID Product Family

Really wanted to spend weekend using upgrade, but looks like I have to upgrade windows also! Is there any workarounds or do I need to move with the times! I think I know the answer, but I can't get upgrade unless I take PC down to shop on Monday. Patience and upgrade is the key! Bugger....

I hope you’re not running a business on that Windows 98 PC of yours because its risky business at best. Windows 98 is no longer supported by Microsoft. How do you expect Sony to support it when Microsoft won’t support them? There have also been advances in Windows capabilities that Sony is taking advantage of and those of us who are using Windows XP expect to find. You can’t limit the capabilities of a product because some people want to use an operating system that is 6 years old. On the brighter side, I upgraded from Windows Me (which was a lot like 98) to Windows XP and it was like a breath of fresh air. After using XP for just one day, I would never go back to Windows Me. I immediately bought another license and upgraded my 2nd PC as well. You’re gonna love it. I will warn you: You need to run the Windows XP advisor and see what applications and hardware are not going to work. This will give you a good idea of what new drivers you will need to download to get everything working. Some software like certain CD burning software and anti-virus simply won’t work and you’ll need to upgrade them. Good luck. ~jr

(At least 64 MB of RAM is required, for example, but that's extremely meager; 128 MB is better, but you'll definitely be better off with at least 256 MB or more.)
