Adding AC-3 soundtrack to Video

What's the best way of accomplishing this? Especially if you already fine tune all the music elements in surround using ACID. Is it possible just to export the ACID project and open it in Vegas? Or do I have to rerender each track as *.wav and recompose everything in Vegas as a single element and re-do the mixing? That'd be a nightmare. Please help.

Thanks!

why not just render it as a ac3 5.1 file in ACID ? and use it in your DVD project

I want to mix the beginning part with the soundtrack so it blends better with the video. Can I do this kind of mixing in DVDArch? Then I still need a lot to learn about DVDA!

i dont use DVDA , but you could render out 6 mono wav files in acid and import them into vegas - still in proper surround position ..

That sounds like the best way to go in my opinion. Even if you could bring an ac3 file into Vegas you might find once you add some more audio elements you need to change the mix somewhat and then you'd have to decode the ac3 and re-encode it which isn't such a great idea.

Bob, you got any of your work on the net? just curious, because it seems like you know your way around vegas. I would like to see a pro's work on vegas. just curious.

See.. I thought that once you render the 6 mono files, I need to recreate the surround panning in Vegas, which could be a pain if you have a lot of panning envelopes, etc. I'll try this one. Thanks.
