how do you use the soft synths in music studio 5? is it for midi use only?

ACID Music Studio 5 cannot do VSTi soft synths. (Believe it can do only DLS soft synths.)

Yes, the DLS Soft Synth in ACID Music Studio 5.0 is only for MIDI. It is a General MIDI instrument that can be played from an external MIDI keyboard, used with an existing MIDI file, or triggered from the MIDI Piano Roll Editor.
