I am using acid music studio 5, an m-audio mobilepre pre amp, windows xp(tweaked for audio), hp pavillion zt1175 notebook pc w/512 mb ram, I have disabled my network card and modem. I cannot get my recording to stop popping and snapping. I have set the playback buffering high and low and everywhere in between, i have set the latency from very low to very high and in between. I have turned the usb recording volume down and up as well as the device input. I am using a Korg Electribe EM-1(which is basically a sequencer)I am wondering if my kick drums are too bass heavy. But it is not just popping on the kick. Does anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong? Is it my sequencer or my computer or the program, I dont think this is a professional program since it was 80 bucks. Does that make a difference? I have 2 USB ports and the other device I have plugged in is my mouse. I don't have any crazy software installed for that. I have adjusted the gain on the preamp. Please, if you can, help me out. I would appreciate it. Thanks, CC |

Hey I have figured out that if I listen to the feedback through my computer(meaning plugging in my headphones directly to my comp.)I dont get any popping. But when I plug into my mobile pre, it pops. What does this mean? TY CC |
