Subject:Rendering slices as separate files???

Hi everyone - I am a new here and I can`t speek English very well but I will try you to explain what the matter is. I add a new file (mp3 or wav) to my project and then I slice it (Split a cursor). Then I would like to render these slices as separate files do *.wav - but I want Acid to did it at a time just like ReCycle or Sound Forge (rendering as Auto Region). Is it generally possible to do it? - rendering all slices to separately *.wav files at a time???

Thanks for your help :)

i guess you could do it by slicing the wave and then regioning and exporting each region as a loop.
however this would be far to much work. best option for such operations is to get a copy of SoundForge. It has by far the best tools for the job...

In my opinion Acid is a more comfortable programme than SF because I can mark to fade in and fade out for each slice and then there aren`t any clicks :). I can also do it by marking separately each slice and render it as *wav. I thought I could do it differently (faster :)))).

i think you are not that familiar with SF it seems to me....
It does everything you want and MUCH more....

:) IMHO

I agree that sf is much easier, but there is something to be said for the grid in Acid. I just think it would be very time-consuming to do it in acid.

This is a case where a Script might have helped. I’ve asked Sony to add a Script API to ACID the same way Vegas has and they said they would consider it. I think if more of you would let Sony know that there are lots of opportunities for task automation in ACID that could be done with scripts, then they might add it sooner.

i must confess that more integration an 'absorption' of functions from SF across Acid and Vegas would make them incredible packages... I think that acid could be more like the old Cool Edit Pro where you have a togglable interface between multi-track and wave editor... that would be bliss!

Why not just insert regions over those slices, render the whole thing out to WAV with metadata, import it into Sound Forge and use that app's "extract regions" feature?

(Note however, this won't ACIDize any of those slices, if that was your intention.)

Thanks for your help - the problem has been settled ;) (I persist with chopper).
Unfortunalety I have got next problem :(. When I split my track it has moved to the right side.

Let you take a peek please at these pictures:
1) http://members.lycos.co.uk/quasi997/before.jpg - before splitting
2) http://members.lycos.co.uk/quasi997/after.jpg - after splitting

Does someone of us know why my track has moved?

Hmm...that shouldn't happen. I'm trying to repro but I can't seem to do it.

Does it happen with other tracks too in the same project or other projects?

Wonder if it could be video card driver related? Have you tried updated video drivers (if available)? Try also reducing or turning off video acceleration.

I have just noticed that it happens when my track is reproducted (played) as a loop. When I change it for a one-shot everything is ok. Some loops can be correctly splitted too but I can`t split different loops (which has been imported with FL Studio :))).
