i'm new to midi/VST and have been playing with it every since I upgraded. Not sure if midi tracks can be encoded in 5.1? I can't see why not.... Here's the situation - Created a song/project in 5.1 mode which contains a midi track that has a soft synth applied to it and I painted out a looping senquence. All is well in Acid on play back in 5.1 - but when I render to .wma 5.1, the song renders fine but on playback the midi track plays wacky - crazy skipping; but the rest of the other tracks play fine both before and after the midi track. If I render the same file in stereo .wma or any other file type the midi track plays fine. Tried it with both microsoft and direct sound mapper drivers with the same out come. I'm using a Audigy 2 sound card with the latest ASIO drivers, 512MB DDR regestered ram dual Athlon MP2000+ MPX chipset no background proccesses running |

zcus, I can't reproduce what you are seeing. What are your project settings? What VSTi are you using? Are you using the '128 Kbps, CD-Quality Audio, 5.1 Surround' preset for your wma render or are you using a custom preset? (If custom, what settings?) Thanks, Jenn |
