Subject:HELP!

i was able to record before but now it only records what comes out of speakers into the mic im running windows xp and no sound card also if i can finaly record how can i not record the first track unto the new one i was trying to get that done when i found out i cant record my yahoo id is taino196 can some one please HELP im using acid4.0

If you have no sound card, what are you plugging the mic and speakers into? Are you saying that you are using the built-in sound from the motherboard? Try using the Volume applet to turn off all inputs except the one you want to use. (Options > Properties > Recording and uncheck everything except the source you are trying to record)

If you are serious about recording, I would get a sound card. The sound on your motherboard is OK for Internet style record and playback but is not going to give you acceptable results for any serious audio application.

In the Record window, are you able to select a specific input for recording under "record device"?

Look in the Record window when you go to record. There should be a field (towards the bottom) labeled, "Record device". What do you have for available inputs in this field?
