Just wondering what plans you all have to buy the upgrade. I am split between guitar center and the sony store. Is GC even going to offer an upgrade, or are they only going to sell the full version. Thanks... |

Why can't we just get it from the Sony Store here? |

I may be wrong but I think the upgrade price is only available through Sony. They check your license key when you upgrade to make sure you are eligible so I don’t see how it could be available in stores. ~jr |

Usually, it’s either the download or the box but not both. What I do is order the box, then download the 30-day trial. The box usually gets here before the trial expires. ~jr |

I've just downloaded, because I'd end up throwing away the box anyway. But I do save a copy to CD. |

Not sure, but I think you only get the 1000 loops if you buy the boxed version. One reason to consider the boxed version over the download. Although with high speed internet, it wouldn't take that long to download. Mario |

In the past, bonus material has been shipped on a separate CD and is made available to downloaders as well as box-buyers; you're given the option of accepting it or not, to avoid incurring shipping charges. SF and Sony don't seem to have ever put out a "lite" version for downloaders. Of course, maybe they'll offer everything as a download now that broadband internet access is so common; I'd prefer to never have to get anything shipped these days... |

The bonus loops are probably about 700MB. The ACID 5 download is probably about 85MB. This means that in order to allow the bonus loops to be downloaded SONY would have to have 9 times as much bandwidth to accomdate it. Considering how many thousands upon thousands of downloads they would probably have, they may not be able to absorb the cost of all this extra traffic. |

You can get upgrades at stores. The upgrade program will likely check your registration details before it installs then it connects you to register the new version. |

Maybe it's just too early in the morning over here, but I couldn't find answers to the following questions yet: Sony provide boxed shipping OR download + optional shipping of a content CD and the Acid Loops CD, plus additional shipping fees. So, can anybody tell me: 1. What exactly is on the "content CD"? 2. How much is shipping to Europe (EU)? 3. Is it true, as seems to be suggested in the online store, that shipping the boxed version abroad is free, while purchasing the download and ordering the free content and samples CDs will be charged a shipping fee? Thanks a lot, Zerobae -------- Edit: Found one answer here. -------- ZEROBAE.com | Enchanting Electronic Music |
