I didn't say to post if you're not happy that 5 has not the features you'd like to. But just the fact that an update is out ^^.

Anyway, if we take out our forum's acid 5 wishlist, i'm sure we'll all be a bit disapointed in a way (where is my multitrack recording ?, my sustain pedal editing ? my freeze ? my beer ?). In anycase, im buying this one.

Very happy, thank you very much!

The new search engine is going to be great for those who want keep distractions to a minimum. No more searching manually through 23+Gigs (my case) of loops to find vocals. Just do a search for "vocals" and there they be! Even better, you can rate the loop when previewing for the first time. That will speed up searches even more since you'll skip over loops you previously rated poorly.
Event Reverse...Yes!
Groove Mapping is definitely a great idea!

Yep! I'm very happy with the update!

Yes I am very happy with this progressive update. In 2000 I decided I wanted to progress from DJing to music and got Cubase. I hated the way this worked. Acid Pro 3 was reccomended to me and it was like, yes!! - this is the simplest way to make sample based (House in my case) music. It was fine to start with and then as I progressed Acid introduced VSTi functionality which was cool. I love the programme and it's ease of use to quickly whack out a tune to play if djing on the weekend. These new updates will nicely compliment a superb system that I am still learning. Whoever made the comment about knowing the system you have and using it for music rather than bleeting for new shiny bits added is correct. This topic is a positive one as this very, very helpful board has needed a little lightening up! Hope all other ACID users are happy with what they get out of the update.

I too am happy to hear that Acid will be available as a ReWire slave.
After 5 months away from this board, I am hoping with ver. 5 I will be coming back frequently!!!!

I do wonder when the release date/upgrade pricing will be available....

SHTUNOT - I haven't really looked into Vegas as I thought this was more video orientated. I am sure though as you say if video is your thing, then Acid would be a v powerful tool in Vegas. Correct me if I'm missing something though!
