I think the asking price is too high (for established owners). $149 (lets just round it up to $150) is not much less than what I paid for the original Acid 4- $199 from Best Buy. I would expect a much better offer from SONY - sorry I am not interested in the Native Instruments "software" bonus. Think I'll wait a while. regards, |

So your saying you want something for nothing? The update for 5 is well worth it. The bestbuy deal is just that...a good deal and a total steal if you ask me. I bought vegas 3 from them for $149 I think back then. Don't complain when you get a lucky break. IMHO. Ed. |

Well my intent was not to 'complain when I had a lucky break" - that's is yout take on my email. My intent is to ask if this is a fair price for Acid 5. It seems they are including 1,000 new loops though exactly what this means as far as technical improvements remains to be seen. That may make the price more attractive if the quality is as good as they claim. Regards, |

They list the technical improvements, so then you can ignore the items that are non-technical and weigh the benefits of the newer features. I assume the upgrade cost is 149.00, which currently for me, is worth it. WHY -- IT INCLUDES -- NI Express instruments, which I already own, but now I can have an additional liscense for my other PC WOOO _ HOOOOO Kevin |

$149 has been the upgrade cost for Sony apps (Vegas, SF, Acid) for awhile now. Personally I think this is an incredible bargain. drbam |

yah, for an app i have used almost daily for the last 5 years and made cash from records usin it etc,i'll upgrade in a second that is totally worth it!! heck,im happy just to make sure sonicPCH still gets some paychecks where's the buy online + DL link lemme click it!! |
