Echo just released new v6.11 drivers for all their sound cards. The drivers are still labeled beta, but don't expect that to change anytime soon. Echo has a tendancy to leave a driver labled "beta" for quite awhile. My Gina20 v6.08 drivers are still labeled "beta" and I've been using them since they came out in June 2003. Now they have a beta v6.08 driver and a beta v6.11 driver. So far I've heard nothing but good news on these drivers. I heard one user say their latency was reduced by 30mS giving them a new 10mS system latency. They where also a Sonar user, so maybe that has something to do with the high latency in the first place.

I was thinking about checking those beta drivers out. I've yet to come across a major problem with Echo's stuff.

I've yet to come across ANY problem with Echo's stuff. I had one of the original Laylas (serial # under 100) and added a second. I thought I had a problem with one of them but it turned out to be a motherboard issue. The Echo support tech worked with me for hours and was extremely helpful. Anyway I now have Layla 24s and am considering replacing one with a new G3 for the better converters. I know there are better cards available but its hard move from something that works so flawlessly.

Thanks, Red. I'm off to get them.
