JPEG pics on a DVD

I have developed a (very nice) slideshow in Vegas using about 100 pics from a pool of about 250 pics collected from family members. I want to create a DVD in Architect from the slideshow to share with family members, however I also want to store all 250 of the "raw" pictures in .jpg format on the same DVD with the Architect slideshow. Can I do that? On a DVD+R?

Yes, with the help of some 3rd party software. I use Nero. Render your DVDA project to DVD Files then burn these along with a folder containing your .JPGs to DVD using a disk burning ap. like Nero or Roxio.

Is there a way to do it in DVD-A2. i.e. without buying additional software?

No, you can't do it in DVDA, version 2. However, it is easy to do in Nero, and you can pick up a copy of Nero 5.5 on eBay for $5 US. You can then download the final update to that older version, directly from the Nero site.

More information on how to use Nero to burn DVDA projects, and add additional folders for your jpegs can be found here:

Hi,
Could you please point me to a tutorial on how to make those slideshows using vegas? Can i forward images through remote control or can it forward automatically?

I used a software that would create slideshows like that in a VCD, but the images got cropped terribly. (my images were 2560 by 1920). Plus the quality was really bad (mpeg2) using memories on TV software.
