How bout quantizing after you record with a reason instrument. I tried this within acids quantize but the tracks seem to be out of sync beat wise after the fact. Missed somethin there. Thank you again. David |

The fact that you’re using Reason as a soft synth shouldn’t affect quantization. Try switching to the internal DLS soft synth and see if the track is still out of sync. If it is, it has nothing to do with using Reason. The quantization simply couldn’t figure out the right snapping. Quantization snaps to the closest note duration. If your playing is too far off the beat, it will snap to the wrong note making it even further off tempo. I never use quantization. I just play the part several times and then select the best performance in the Chopper and then chop to a new track. This keeps the music sounding live. You can always fix one or two notes in the MIDI editor. ~jr |
