Subject:Acid 5 or FLStudio 5.0?

Has anybody heard anything on the possible release of Acid 5 or how long has it been since the release of Acid 4 (not the maintenance releases). Why are there only a few messages posted here in Acids main support forum? Is Acid slowly dying? I wonder...I believe there are other apps that can slice and stretch wav files as well as Acid. Check out the soon to be released FLStudio 5.0 it will use/manipulate/timestretch Acid files very well.

ACID Music Studio 5.0 has been released. ACID Pro 5.0 probably isn't too far behind.

Forum traffic seems pretty healthy here. It's not like there's supposed to be thousands of messages a day or anything. (Thank God.) That'll probably change when ACID Pro 5.0 gets released. Usually, only those seeking help/advice (like you) or those having trouble come to the forum.

Other apps that can slice and stretch WAV files as well as ACID? I've yet to find a GUI other than ACID's that I like. (Well, actually anything from SPD.)

If your looking for loop manipulation then Acid is definately the way to go. It does what it does the best out of any app out there. I now use Tracktion as my main host but for loop stuff and slicing I keep coming back to Acid.

Acid 5.0 has been announced with a list of features. I'm not clear if it will offer me what I need with VSTi - a piano roll that works!

FL Studio 5.0 I've seen small snippets of, and I'm actively using V4.0, plus it's a lifetime FREE upgrade, so I'll be judging Acid Pro 5.0 by price and features. After all, why upgrade if it doesn't do what I want and FL Studio 5.0 already does it?

acid and FL are 2 different animals and will always be so. My thinking is that they would be complementary - even if there is some apparent overlap. I use reason rewired to acid and find it easy to use. I think acid and FL would be the same.
