I want to play guitar along with a track at a slower speed, so that I can vari-speed my guitar playing UP along with the track. I can do this by playing along with a 1-shot, slowed down let's say, by one whole step. Is there another way to do this so I have more BPM & KEY control? (In the example above I'd take a recording in the KEY=A, slow it to G, then play along in G. Afterwards, I can speed up the track +2 to A.) Can I use BEATMAP to play the same track back at a slower tempo, but still in the Original Key of A, Record my guitar in A, then play back the new track so my playing sounds faster? (Slowing 1 shots are fine, but I have to change my playing to be in the correct key.) |

Yes, you want to beatmap the music to slow it down and stay in the same key. Make sure you check the "Preserve pitch of the Beatmapped track when tempo changes" option when you beatmap. Then just slow the tempo down and play along. Also by beatmapping the music you’ll be sure that you can add more ACID loops later and they will stay on tempo. ~jr |
