Hi everyone. I am very new to video editing and to Sony Vegas 5. I am trying to edit a project but I cannot get the video preview window to show any motion picture. At best, I can see a still frame of my project - or just black.
The Auto preview button is on. When I find and select a video file in Explorer, the icon will change from say the windows media file icon to a "play" icon....according to the help file, I should then see this video playing in the preveiw window...but nothing plays. This applies to AVI, ASF, MOV files etc...
It's probably something I have overlooked but I have spent hours looking into this and haven't found a fix yet. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction? Thank you.
