Ok. So I'm working in DVDA 2.0.
I love that you can do transition videos between menus. There's only one problem:
Whenever you "Insert Media" into the root directory... DVDA AUTOMATICALLY brings the video in as a "letterbox" aspect ratio.
In other words...unlike a "background media file" where you have control to either: a) stretch to fit b) zoom to fit c) letterbox format...DVDA gives you none of this control over a directly "inserted media" file.
So, what happens is.. the transition actions work splendidly... You get "letterboxed" video transition that goes into a "stretched to fit" menu..and the change is VERY obvious and not seemless at all.
All the transition animations were done @ 720x480, and all the menu screens are 720x480. So, all this resizing makes ZERO sense.
Mind you...this is the transition method recommended by DVDA's own "tutorial"... i just find it odd that you can't control the ratio of directly inserted media. It's silly.
To remedy the issue, I've created a bunch of menus for each transition state, with the video stretched to the same dimensions as the menus, so that it's seemless. I just hate that I'm forced to do this, because it is much more efficient to create a clean directory structure the other way.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS FIXABLE?
Thanks!
