I'm trying to decide between AMS and MMM. I want to know if acid has the ability to take loops of individual instruments and layer them on top of each other rather than just loops that are already composed. I know that in Magix you can actually create the tune of individual instruments they offer. I'm just curious as a musician which program gives me the greatest original creative freedom to compose exactly what I want.

If you're asking if you can layer loops (whether they be canned or your own creation) on top of each other in a multitrack fashion, the answer is yes. Have you tried the demo yet?

I haven't tried the demo but I take it from your answer that I can actually create your own custumized loop of say a violin etc?

Yes, but you need to try the demo.

Sure, since you can either record and/or bounce down audio to make your own creation. Be sure to try the demo. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Uh, it sounds like you asking if you can build a melody from individually sampled notes. Like you would if you were using midi to drive a sampler. Is this what you're asking?

Wask.
