I'm trying to decide between AMS and MMM. I want to know if acid has the ability to take loops of individual instruments and layer them on top of each other rather than just loops that are already composed. I know that in Magix you can actually create the tune of individual instruments they offer. I'm just curious as a musician which program gives me the greatest original creative freedom to compose exactly what I want. |

If you're asking if you can layer loops (whether they be canned or your own creation) on top of each other in a multitrack fashion, the answer is yes. Have you tried the demo yet? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

I haven't tried the demo but I take it from your answer that I can actually create your own custumized loop of say a violin etc? |

Sure, since you can either record and/or bounce down audio to make your own creation. Be sure to try the demo. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

Uh, it sounds like you asking if you can build a melody from individually sampled notes. Like you would if you were using midi to drive a sampler. Is this what you're asking? Wask. |
