I don't know why I find this so funny. Is this the remove vocals thing phrased differently? lol. What do you have audio or midi tracks? |

"and Metronome, not trying to start any ish but I thought your answer was a little harsh and snippy. I mean, by asking a question in the forum where it belongs, that is a form of investigative homework, IMO...I'd do the same. If someone with experience could answer a question and save me a little time then what's the harm in that? Just my .02...I'll butt out now." ****figured i would read a little history feedback given to you based on your response**** it seems you know what your talking about, yet you lack the social skills of communicating them... this is not a vocal removal question reworded...I know how to edit... the request to change every 6th note was a strange request, i know...but the director is a powerful guy and rather than look silly asking him if he's seriuos or not...i preferred to ask in a forum where i can potentially get an answer...these would be audio tracks... |

Have you tried manually cutting the loop up (using acid's grids) and then transposing every 6th note? |

You asked this question in the thread changing every 6th note and mD asked you if it was a MIDI track and you did not respond. It would be helpful if you would give us a little more information like is this MIDI or Audio? Is the note playing solo in which case you can change it with ACID using the technique that DKeenum described, or is it buried in a mix which prompted Metronome’s analogy to trying to remove vocals? We can’t help you if you don’t give us more information starting with answering mD’s question in your original post. ~jr |

Don't take offense. There's a running joke going on here. I did ask you legit questions to help narrow down your issue which you haven't answered. You must admit that changing every sixth note sounds like busy work. Is that even musical? Is every sixth note the same? Is every sixth note played incorrectly? Why would you want to do this? The question just sounds funny. Feel free to educate me. Anyhoo, If it's a midi or single instrument audio file it's a very easy problem to solve. If it's an orchestra playing together on one track then the vocal remover comment wasn't out of line. ...."social skills"....don't get me started. |

This has got to be a joke. It's even more nonsensical than the Emporer's quote in Amadeus: ". . . it has too many notes, just take out a few and it'll be perfect." "Which few sire ?" I'd tell this "powerful guy" that you have indeed adjusted every sixth note, that it was a very difficult job, that you had to adjust a hell of a lot of seventh notes and a few eighth notes too, but that you now see how wise this advice was. Then play him exactly the same piece. |

Do you mean every 6th note as in the 6th note of a scale, or every 6th note as in every 6th 8th note in a measure? Wask. "I was gratified to be able to answer promptly. I said I don't know. " Mark Twain |
