Subject:Missing Directory in Acid 4 Explorer

Anyone else had this problem? Windows Explorer has a directory (not hidden) and the Acid Explorer can't see it. What's really weird is that the directory contains the Acid File I'm using for the project.. Tried pressing F5 to refresh the view but no change. Not being able to access the directory containing the project is a major pain. I can play, record etc but I can't see the directory.

I haven't used Acid for a while - now I'm beginning to see why.

Strange...
I don't really know what's happening but here are some ideas:

- Before pressing PF5, make sure that the Acid explorer window is active by clicking on it
- Try to rename the directory: maybe the name is too long or contains special characters ?
- If you move the project file to another existant directory, does it work ?
- Do you see the directory within any other application (when opening a file) ?

Thanks for the reply. I can access the directory with other applications. I moved the project directory to the desktop and Acid found it. The project directory was in another directory called "soundwork" and it is this directory that acid can't find. The name can't be too long.. renaming the directory doesn't help.

I wonder if reinstalling Acid would help?

- Be sure not to mix up "My computer" and "My documents" folders... It may seem stupid but I made the mistake myself in the past : searching in the wrong folder !

You can try to run the Acid installation again and choose the "Repair" option, but I'm not quite sure that it may help in this case.

Thanks, the directory Acid can't see is on a seperate drive - I created a new directory via Windows Explorer and Acid could find that. When I change the name of the directory Acid can't see it gives me a message saying it can't find the files used in the project. Change the name of the directory back and Acid can find the project files. I think something is up with the Acid Explorer. Tried Repair, but as you suspected it didn't help.
