Here's one solution 1. Open up ACID and change defaults you wish--then press record and change the default record folder to the one you want. example--D:\dansband then record a short clip and delete it. in the ACID preferences you may want to also change the directory for temporary files to the same one 2. save the file in the folder you would like as the default. for example--D:\dansband\blank.acd 3. Exit ACID 4. Navigate to the folder in Windows and right-click on the blank.acd file and select READ-Only 5. Select apply and then right-click again and select create shortcut. 6. Then right-click on the newly created shortcut and change the "Start In" to D:\dansband\ or whatever---while your in the shortcut properties click on change icon and navigate to the folder where your executable resides----Program Files/Sonic Foundry/Acid 4.0/acid40.exe You should be able to pick an icon that looks the same as the icon normally used to execute the program. Then you can rename the shortcut if you wish. You can also place the shortcut file in your menu system in place of the regular Acid shortcut. This way, when Acid is executed, it will always have the defaults (and best of all-the desired record folder already setup) The fact that the blank file is read-only will keep you from ever forgetting about it and writing over it. timolson@mchsi.com |
