Subject:glitches after applying effects Posted by: jaypea Date:9/29/2004 2:28:01 PM I'll take a .wav file and apply effects (dynamics and reverb) sometimes using the plug-in chainer, sometimes seperately off the menus. 7 times out of ten, everything's fine. but occasionally I'll get a glitch or two in the file. it's a "volume" glitch, where one or two cycles of the waveform are louder than everything else. I can correct the glitch easily enough unsing the "volume" process. but I'd like to know why it occurs and how to keep it from happening. happens on multiple machines--a home brew pc with a soundblaster, a midrange gateway with a soundmax board, and a high-end carillon music pc with a lynx card. so, braintrust, any ideas?
