Subject:changing BPMs

i have a song with a 140bpm, whenever i load a voice sample in it automatically matches itself to the bpm of the beat which makes it way to fast (or vice versa)
How do i change the bpm of a single track without the rest of the song changing as well?

Go into the Track Properties under the Stretch tab and change the Number of beats to be greater. So if it thinks the vocal track is 4 beats per measure, change it to 8 beats and the vocals will slow down by half.
