Subject:Creating a VSTi or DXi Posted by: luceses Date:9/28/2004 12:14:22 PM Hey everybody, I have an unusual question. I have a nephew that is sort of a computer geek and he loves music,but he is NOT a musician and he is interested in using his talents at programming to try and create some plugins...mostly synth, VSTi, DXi stuff. I don't really know where to send him out in cyberspace and I was hoping maybe some of you guys here would have some insight. I did lead him to the Toby Bear site and on his own he downloaded some of the tools from there,but he says that he needs some kind of Delphi compiler that supposedly is free,but he can't seem to get it going....anyway, I got off track. Basically can anybody help me to steer this kid in a good direction? Any tips and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks,luces ps. btw. He thinks Acid is completely "off the hook!" I think that means it kicks ASS!!!
