Hello,

How does one go about using sound fonts in Acid 4? I have always used VST's so I am wondering if sound fonts can be used and how. I am pretty unfamiliar with them, but I found a good choir sound font and want to test it out. Are sound fonts like VST's where you can play notes on the keyboard and then have the sound font attached to those notes? Thanks for your help!!

Greg

Hi Greg,

Before I can tell you how to use Soundfonts in ACID you have to promise to show me where you got the great Choir Soundfont file? ;-)

Actually I explain how to use Soundfonts in this thread. There is a VSTi Soundfont player called SFZ from rc:audio that is awesome and free! Enjoy.

thanks JohnnyRoy. actually, it ends up that the choir soundfont that i downloaded isn't that great. the full choir one is ok i guess, but the solo male and female voices suck :) i downloaded the ones at http://www.papelmedia.de/sf2/sf2_uk_index.htm
