. When I tried to install Sound Forge XP on Windows XP, it said this version of Sound Forge is not compatable with this Operating system. Do you want to install it anyway? I said yes. I haven't used it yet, I need to start a project tomorrow. Why is SF, XP not compattable with XP? Can I make it compatable without spending a lot of money? What can I expect from using it on a system it's installed on, but "not compatable?" Thank you, Chris |

I believe that Sound Forge XP was introduced some years prior to the Microsoft XP operating system. Just an unfortunate name coincidence. |

There's a good chance it might still work. Some programs written way before Windows XP tend to work more often than not. If you're having problems, try finding the EXE (usually where you installed Sound Forge), right-click it, choose Properties, then click the Compatibility tab and choose the OS it ran under before.
