ASIO driver or driving you mad? Does anyone know if ACID 3 supports ASIO drivers? I think not, just WDM drivers. Maybe version 4 does? I have just bought a new soundcard E-MU 0404 that utilizes the ASIO drivers with Cubase, which is great! But I can't select the ASIO driver in Acid as it doesn't appear on the list of available devices. I have reinstalled the soundcard and drivers 4 times now and can't believe that Acid will not work with ASIO. It is only a problem when recording in stereo. Mono inputs seem to be ok, but in stereo it records the playback wave files on my H/D on the same channel as the stereo input! Someone please enlighten me! |

On the ACID Pro 4.0 New Features page it lists ASIO™ driver support. This probably means that ACID 3 does not have ASIO support or it wouldn't be considered a new feature. (I don't remember I haven't used ACID 3 in a long time) ~jr |

Acid 3 only supports Classic Wavedrivers. Only Acid 4 supports ASIO George Ware |
