Subject:ACID crash when even BREATHING on midi files...

Howdy all,
Lately, a lot of my projects are developing annoying probs with MIDI files.
Certain MIDI files have become very volatile - either selecting the track in the track list with the mouse, or assigning it to a VSTi, or even sometimes touching controls on the Soft Synth causing ACID to quit instantly without any error windows. ACID starts again without problem. Whatever caused the problem will then do the same 9 times out of 10. Its that 1 time I have to wait for to delete the MIDI track or soft synth, then often the replacement will be OK (for a while).
This seems to happen maybe 20% of the time across all of my projects.

Anyone?

Cheers, Nathan

I have once encountered the same kind of problem; whenever I chose "properties" for a MIDI file, Acid ran an illegal operation and crashed.
I've just re-installed Acid, choosing the "repair" option and it solved the problem.

Did you try completely uninstalling ACID and then reinstall? (Download the 4.0f update and install that; it acts as a full version provided you have your serial key handy.)
