Unable to save markers to media file

I have a rather simple DVD project... one movie, plus an options menu. I have created a total of 38 chapter markers for the movie from within DVDA2. When I click on the Save Markers button, I get an error pop-up with the following message:

"An error occurred while trying to save markers to the media file. This is likely due to the file being read-only, or in-use by another application."

Now, I know the file isn't read-only, so I'm thinking it's probably due to DVDA's penchant for marking the file as being in-use. Of course, you'd think that DVDA would be smart enough to disable this function long enough to save the chapter markers. :)

I'm sure that others have experienced this problem. Anyone found a solution? Is Sony aware of this problem (I hope)?

Phooey. I ran into this problem just a few days ago and can't remember what caused the problem. I'm pretty sure it is a bug, and I think I got around it by saving the DVDA project file, quitting from DVDA, restarting DVDA, re-loading the project, and then doing the save. If this doesn't work, you might also try re-booting and then running only DVDA. Open the project, and then try saving the markers.

I know I had the same thing happen, but I am not sure whether this is how I got around it.

I had the same problem with my video, and the way around it is to just leave the markers in place, click ok on the error that pops up, and then go create your scene selection menus, (or whatever you were trying to do when you decided you needed markers). It seems to save the markers regardless of the error message on my system. I don't know if it saves them outside of DVD2a, but as long as that file is open in DVD2a, every instance of the marked file will have them saved. Weird.
