Subject:How to mix layers

Hi,

I am brand new. I am recording tracks. They all appear on the left. When I don't mute them, they play while I am recording new stuff. I like that because I thought I was going to be able to add track on top of track that way. But then, when I saved it as a song, it didn't have all the layers that were playing when I was recording. Only the new stuff came out.

How do I layer track onto track?

Thanks!!!!

Cara

What is it you're trying to do?

It almost sounds like the events belonging to the track aren't layered together. (An event is an instance of audio that plays back on the timeline to the right of the track.) Since ACID works like most other sequencers, the position of events will determine when the audio plays back at that point in time.

Use either the Draw Tool or the Selection Tool and then click and drag the events together so that they're arranged vertically. You will probably have to edit these events, but let's take this one step at a time.
