Subject:Choir VST

Wow. It seems like forever since I have posted here! Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a choir vst out there? Basically I'm looking for the "Aaahhh" sounds that will play based on what keys I play on my keyboard. And if no one knows of this type of VST, anyone know of any other synth that can create comparable sounds?

Thanks!

There is thread about this subject over on kvr-vst.com's forums! You might want to check it out.

Here are my suggestions:
1. angelina (free)
2. Sonic Synth 2 free - a couple of nice vocal sounds (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/Main.html?keyboardss2)
3. Sample Tank 2 free - I believe there is one vocal sound (http://www.kvr-vst.com/get/141.html)
4. sfz is a free soundfont player. You would then need to go looking for some choir soundfonts.

You also might want to look at Tapeworm which is a free Melotron emulator that has a very vintage choir sound.

Start with the free version.

Yeah, it is big. And after you try the free version you'll probably want it.

DKeenum,
You mentioned angelina (free) ...
Did you mean angelina is free or that there is a free trial period? You see, I can't find it anywhere for free. K-v-R says 40 Euro for it.

Native Instruments' Absynth can do a very good synthesis of voices & choirs. But if you want something that really sounds like a choir then you have to go for samples.

With angelina you can't save presets, but everything works - and no dropouts or noise bursts. If you use it a lot you would but it so you could save presets, support the developer. Sorry, I wasn't clear.

The DLS synth that is part of ACID also has a choir voice set.

You can find additional DLS sound sets that have very good Choir sounds.
